Residential Camp Coordinator

The role of Residential Camp Coordinator is responsible for providing support and supervision to the residential counselors, campers, and coaches during the 6 week summer camp.
Essential functions will be managing schedules, communicating with staff, coaches, and parents, and working with athletes to manage behaviors and build positive team dynamics.
On-site housing is provided for the duration of training and Residential Camp.
This is an on site position which requires supervision of the Residential Camp activities Sunday-Friday, for all 6 weeks.
This includes being on-call overnight and/or being in a cabin with campers overnight.
The Coordinator will be present for all pre-camp training.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or enrolled in a Recreation, Sport Management, Physical Education or other related field and minimum of 2 years related experience.
In lieu of a degree, prior work experience in a relevant setting will be considered.
Additional certifications from YMCA, ACA or other nationally recognized organizations preferred.
Training/Experience in team building, group facilitation, ropes course, archery, boating, and other related skills preferred.
Training/certification in Wilderness First Responder or comparable medical certification preferred.
General knowledge of maintaining facilities.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Motor Vehicle, Fraud and Sex Offender Registry background checks.
