About the role of a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP):
As a Woodfords' Behavioral Health Professional (BHP)
You will work one-on-one with a child or adolescent with special needs within their home and community focusing on behaviors, social skills, personal and daily routines, as well as community inclusion.
You will be a key member of the In-Home Support program working independently with the child and cooperatively with a treatment team.
Your schedule may be flexible, allowing you to maintain a work/life balance.
We invest in you and provide you with paid training & opportunities for advancement! We will teach you the skills and strategies needed to be successful.
Schedules Available for Behavioral Health Professionals (BHP) in Northern Kennebec County:
Oakland: Two service openings for 16-18 year old males; 10-15 hours per week for each youth; hours late afternoon into the early evening.
Rome: Services needed for a 6 year old boy; late afternoons/early evenings
Winslow: Services needed for 16 year old male; 12 hours/wk; late afternoon/evenings/weekends
Benton: Services needed for 17 year old girl; 6 to 8 hours weekly; 3 afternoons weekly
Key Qualifications of a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP):
High School Diploma or GED Required.
Valid driver's license
A reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
Experience working with children with autism or intellectual disabilities (Desired, not required)
Experience using teaching strategies derived from the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) (Desired, not required)
A positive attitude, high energy level and creativity

Compensation:
Part-time positions available
Hourly wage based on education, experience, and certification
$0.50/hour wage increase once employee receives Behavioral Health Professional certification

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
